The David Walker pick is the one that will follow the Cowboys into the fall. They took him 25 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
