Nobody had Xavier Thomas this high, and it is not close. The Steelers reached 33 spots to get him at Round 4, Pick 29.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. It is not that Puni is a bad player; it is that the Steelers had louder needs to answer first. Getting Bullock where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
