The Steelers let McCaffrey fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

The board owed the Steelers one, and it paid up: Luke McCaffrey, the No. 149 name on the board, sitting there at No. 195 like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

The Steelers indulged a want in Barton while a need in quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Every board in the league had Brade lower, and that gap is the story.

Safety is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
