Boards are made to be trusted, and the Lions shredded theirs for Brian Ugwu. He came off 173 spots early, and the room will hear about it. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

The Sawyer steal is the beam this whole class leans on. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
