The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Caleb Ransaw went at Round 5, Pick 21, a good 52 picks before the board was ready.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Their trades came out a wash either way.
