Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall C+
ValueC- NeedB TradesC FutureB
Flashes of a plan, unevenly executed. Ravens: C+.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Ravens spent Round 6, Pick 2 on Steve Linton, a name the board had a full 246 spots lower.

They banked enough surplus on Judkins to cover a lot of smaller sins. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Will Johnson
Will Johnson at the 23rd pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick85 Rnd3 Tyler Booker
Steal is underselling it; Tyler Booker at No. 85 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick94 Rnd3 Deone Walker
They talked themselves into Deone Walker at slot 94, and the board did not agree. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick124 Rnd4 Emery Jones Jr.
They reached a country mile for Emery Jones Jr. at the 124th overall pick, and the board is aghast. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick130 Rnd4 Smael Mondon Jr.
The board fumbled Smael Mondon Jr. all the way to Round 4, Pick 29, and they scooped it up. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick135 Rnd4 Kaimon Rucker
They reached into another round for Kaimon Rucker, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick174 Rnd5 Quinshon Judkins
Somehow Quinshon Judkins was still sitting there in the 174th pick, and they pounced on premier running back value. It fills a real need, too.
Pick176 Rnd6 Marcus Mbow
Value said wait; Marcus Mbow in the 176th overall pick says they were not listening. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick177 Rnd6 Steve Linton
Steve Linton at Round 6, Pick 2 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick197 Rnd6 Harold Perkins Jr.
They barely believed it either: Harold Perkins Jr. still on the board at slot 197. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick211 Rnd6 Barrett Carter
Taking Barrett Carter in pick 211 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick239 Rnd7 Drew Kendall
They left a pile of value on the table to take Drew Kendall this early at the Round 7 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
