Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Browns robbed the room for Dart. Final grade: B.

Somebody in slot 67 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Jaxson Dart, the No. 41 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In pick No. 2 they get juice off the edge. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33 Rnd2 Omarion Hampton
Omarion Hampton at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick67 Rnd3 Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart at Round 3, Pick 3 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick94 Rnd3 Gunnar Helm
Fair-plus on Gunnar Helm, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick104 Rnd4 Tory Horton
They paid sticker price for Tory Horton in pick 104, and that is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick179 Rnd6 Jack Kiser
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jack Kiser. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick192 Rnd6 KeAndre Lambert-Smith
No edge and no loss on KeAndre Lambert-Smith in the 192nd overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick200 Rnd6 Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins at No. 200 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick216 Rnd6 Nazir Stackhouse
Nazir Stackhouse slipping to slot 216 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick255 Rnd7 Kitan Crawford
They read the board right and Kitan Crawford was the payoff at pick No. 255. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
