The real work happened on the phones. The Bears fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
