The Bears answered their biggest question with Williams. Grade: F.

The war room fell hard for Baylor Cupp, and it showed at pick 252: 124 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Little went right, and the F does not pretend otherwise.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The Bears indulged a want in Hunt while a need in interior defensive lineman stayed open.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Oladapo steal is the beam this whole class leans on. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

There is no spinning it; the board won this weekend going away.
