Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Daniels in the fold, and a B for the Falcons.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Falcons spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

However the rest shakes out, Coleman at that price is a win they earned. For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

If Hall pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In the 8th overall pick they get a long-term answer under center at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick43 Rnd2 Kris Jenkins
No drama and no debate, Kris Jenkins went about where he belonged in slot 43. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick48 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa
T.J. Tampa at Round 2, Pick 16 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick74 Rnd3 Keon Coleman
Keon Coleman at pick No. 74 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick79 Rnd3 Ja'Lynn Polk
The board had Ja'Lynn Polk higher than No. 79, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick108 Rnd4 Malik Washington
A tidy bit of business in the Round 4 slot, where Malik Washington graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick142 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
By-the-book stuff, Tykee Smith at pick 142 squarely in line with his ranking. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick186 Rnd6 Dwight McGlothern
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Dwight McGlothern at the 186th pick. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick196 Rnd6 Gabe Hall
They reached into another round for Gabe Hall, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
