The needs board said one thing and the Falcons did another, using Round 4, Pick 12 on Max Melton while quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots waited.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Getting Williams where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The Nelson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
