A weekend the Ravens spent ahead of the board, for worse: F.

It is the swing that defines the weekend: Dont'e Thornton Jr. in the 155th overall pick, a good 30 spots before the room expected him. Little went right, and the F does not pretend otherwise.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Moore pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at running back and quarterback. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.

In No. 31 they get a double-digit-sack hope, a steep price for the projection. A real need, handled.
