A passer of the future in Daniels, and a D-, for the Bears.

The Bears went off the board in a big way for AJ Barner, 50 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter.

The Trotter Jr. pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Adding Budda Baker by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
