The AJ Barner selection is the head-turner. The Bears reached 40 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The Bears indulged a want in Barner while a need in edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Foster pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
