The Patriots did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B+.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Patriots walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

Adding Mike Hilton by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
