More right than wrong for the 49ers, and a B- to prove it.

The Trey Moore pick is the one that will follow the 49ers into the fall. They took him 43 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Muhammad falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Malik Muhammad at No. 92. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.

A clean, defensible pick in Round 4, Pick 27 with a little surplus value in Michael Trigg. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick133 Rnd4 Kyle Louis
Kyle Louis at the 133rd overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick138 Rnd4 Trey Moore
They talked themselves into Trey Moore at the Round 4 slot, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick171 Rnd5 Kobe Baynes
Kobe Baynes in the 171st pick is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
