Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B
ValueB NeedB- TradesA- FutureB-
The Browns let Abrams-Draine fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Kris Abrams-Draine had no business being available in pick 138, and the Browns did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick58 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper at the 58th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick89 Rnd3 Jalen McMillan
Jalen McMillan is a better player than pick 89 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick126 Rnd4 Isaiah Adams
Nothing to complain about; Isaiah Adams went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick138 Rnd5 Kris Abrams-Draine
Circle this one: Kris Abrams-Draine at the Round 5 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick159 Rnd5 Justin Rogers
They paid sticker price for Justin Rogers in No. 159, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick204 Rnd6 Miyan Williams
Miyan Williams in the 204th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick205 Rnd6 Isaiah Williams
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Isaiah Williams at pick No. 205 is the proof. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick210 Rnd6 Jordan Magee
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jordan Magee in Round 6, Pick 35. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick220 Rnd6 Omar Speights
Somehow Omar Speights was still sitting there in the 220th pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick231 Rnd7 Jontrey Hunter
They robbed the room for Jontrey Hunter here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick247 Rnd7 Donovan Jennings
Fair-plus on Donovan Jennings, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The roster fit checks out.
