You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bears did exactly that with PJ Williams in pick No. 241. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Haulcy falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
