For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Patriots walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom. Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
