You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Chargers did exactly that with Michael Barrett in slot 181.

The Harden value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and tight end is still a hole.
