The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Patriots reached some 54 spots for Drew Kendall, and value like that does not grow back.

However the rest shakes out, Walker at that price is a win they earned. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
