Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Browns and Mullings: B.

Thirty-one other rooms let Kalel Mullings slide, and the Browns were the ones holding the card at No. 192. Highway robbery.

They will need Frazier to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In slot 2 they get a premier pass rusher. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick33 Rnd2 Wyatt Milum
No drama and no debate, Wyatt Milum went about where he belonged in No. 33. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick67 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba at pick No. 67 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick94 Rnd3 Miles Frazier
A real head-scratcher, Miles Frazier in Round 3, Pick 30 is miles ahead of his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick104 Rnd4 Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers is a better player than the 104th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick179 Rnd6 Willie Lampkin
Willie Lampkin at the 179th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick192 Rnd6 Kalel Mullings
Steal is underselling it; Kalel Mullings at pick 192 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It fills a real need, too.
Pick200 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A slide stopped in the Round 6 slot, with Dont'e Thornton Jr. worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick216 Rnd6 Simeon Barrow Jr.
Simeon Barrow Jr. at pick No. 216 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick255 Rnd7 Jabbar Muhammad
Jabbar Muhammad at No. 255 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
