Nobody else had Tyler Harrell anywhere near No. 240. The Saints did, by 120 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

There is no spinning it; the board won this weekend going away.
