The Joshua Simon selection is the head-turner. The Giants reached 51 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

Higgins falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
