Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D-
ValueC NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Ravens got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-.

The Phillip Webb selection is the head-turner. The Ravens reached 134 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Mike Green
In the Round 1 slot they get a disruptor off the edge. A real need, handled.
Pick63 Rnd2 Darien Porter
A reach for Darien Porter in the 63rd pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick66 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
They reached into another round for Andrew Mukuba, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick91 Rnd3 Charles Grant
They paid sticker price for Charles Grant in No. 91, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick103 Rnd4 Jordan Phillips
Jordan Phillips at pick 103 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick118 Rnd4 Tyler Shough
This one needs a full-page explanation: Tyler Shough in the 118th overall pick, miles early. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick121 Rnd4 O'Donnell Fortune
They reached a country mile for O'Donnell Fortune at the Round 4 slot, and the board is aghast. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick133 Rnd4 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A wild overpay on Dont'e Thornton Jr. in No. 133, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick140 Rnd5 Andres Borregales
Andres Borregales in Round 5, Pick 2 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick146 Rnd5 Que Robinson
They talked themselves into Que Robinson at the 146th pick, and the board did not agree. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick176 Rnd5 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II at pick No. 176 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick183 Rnd6 Clay Webb
Clay Webb in pick 183 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick203 Rnd6 KeAndre Lambert-Smith
A tidy little value on KeAndre Lambert-Smith in the 203rd overall pick, a step better than break-even. The roster fit checks out.
Pick212 Rnd6 Phillip Webb
Phillip Webb at slot 212 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
