Quarterback settled, Sanders in the fold, and a B- for the Giants.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Giants spent their marquee pick on Shedeur Sanders, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

However the rest shakes out, Watts at that price is a win they earned. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Jaxson Dart in No. 34 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.

They will replay Xavier Watts at Round 3, Pick 1 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick99 Rnd3 Gunnar Helm
Gunnar Helm slid further than he should have, and the 99th pick is lovely value for the tight end. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick105 Rnd4 Denzel Burke
Denzel Burke at slot 105 is a conviction pick that outran the value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick154 Rnd5 Pat Bryant
They did well to land Pat Bryant in the 154th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick219 Rnd7 Carson Vinson
They took Carson Vinson at par in the Round 7 slot, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

A clean, defensible pick in pick 246 with a little surplus value in Shemar James. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
