The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to J.J. McCarthy, and the whole operation now runs on his development. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. If Smith pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
