They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Caleb Williams is the Bears' quarterback, full stop. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The Braswell pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Smith reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
