Call it larceny. Cam Ward sat on the board until pick 221, and the Giants did not need to be asked twice.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
