Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Jets won the night they stopped Borregales from sliding. Grade: B-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Jets watched Andres Borregales slide 53 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. Reaching for Robinson left real value on the table behind him. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In the 7th pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick42 Rnd2 Derrick Harmon
A slide stopped in the 42nd overall pick, with Derrick Harmon worth more than the price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick73 Rnd3 Kaleb Johnson
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Kaleb Johnson in pick 73, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick110 Rnd4 Tai Felton
They let Tai Felton come to them and pounced at Round 4, Pick 8. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick145 Rnd5 Ty Robinson
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Ty Robinson. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick162 Rnd5 Tyler Shough
They barely believed it either: Tyler Shough still on the board at pick No. 162. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick186 Rnd6 Upton Stout
Upton Stout at the Round 6 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick207 Rnd6 Andres Borregales
Andres Borregales in No. 207 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
