The Texans bet big and early on Hayden Conner, 29 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
