Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B-
ValueC- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Jaguars.

The Jaguars looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Grant Gunnell at pick 79 regardless, 339 picks early. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

However the rest shakes out, Rice at that price is a win they earned. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.

Pick Analysis
Pick17 Rnd1 Taliese Fuaga
In No. 17 they get a blindside protector. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick48 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
Jackson Powers-Johnson in slot 48 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick79 Rnd3 Grant Gunnell
Grant Gunnell in the 79th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick96 Rnd3 Brenden Rice
The board had Brenden Rice higher than the Round 3 slot, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick114 Rnd4 Khyree Jackson
They took Khyree Jackson at par in pick No. 114, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick116 Rnd4 Javon Foster
Javon Foster at pick 116 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick155 Rnd5 Moose Muhammad III
Moose Muhammad III in the 155th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick195 Rnd6 Jabbar Muhammad
Jabbar Muhammad at pick 195 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick211 Rnd6 Jayson Jones
Value said wait; Jayson Jones in Round 6, Pick 36 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick237 Rnd7 Erick All
They liked Erick All enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 7 slot. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
