Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB
The Jaguars fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Jaguars came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

They will need Powers-Johnson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Amarius Mims
A clean, defensible pick in No. 24 with a little surplus value in Amarius Mims. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick48 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
The board had cheaper options than Jackson Powers-Johnson at the 48th pick, and it noticed. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick56 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
They took T'Vondre Sweat at par in pick No. 56, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick96 Rnd3 Jalen McMillan
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jalen McMillan in the 96th overall pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick101 Rnd4 Braelon Allen
Braelon Allen in Round 4, Pick 1 is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick114 Rnd4 Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson in pick 114 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick116 Rnd4 Donovan Jackson
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Donovan Jackson. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick155 Rnd5 Darius Robinson
They paid sticker price for Darius Robinson in the Round 5 slot, and that is fine. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick195 Rnd6 Tatum Bethune
They jumped the gun on Tatum Bethune, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick211 Rnd6 Sheridan Jones
No drama and no debate, Sheridan Jones went about where he belonged in the Round 6 slot. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick237 Rnd7 Ja'Had Carter
No edge and no loss on Ja'Had Carter in the 237th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
