You could see the war room lean forward. Sonny Styles at the Round 4 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Reaching for Payton left real value on the table behind him. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.
