The Chiefs lost the trade table, and the D+ tells the story.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Chiefs took Rivaldo Fairweather a full 351 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D+.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Getting Jeanty where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The veteran additions, Rasul Douglas chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
