There is conviction, and then there is this. The 49ers took Thomas Fidone II a full 113 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

The Bowman Jr. steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
