The Cowboys did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Walter Nolen fell into pick 44.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Thornton Jr. reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
