The Akheem Mesidor selection is the head-turner. The 49ers reached 38 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They banked enough surplus on Reese to cover a lot of smaller sins.
