The Bears checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Bears never addressed interior defensive lineman, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Loveland has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
