Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Patriots spent slot 38 on Jaylin Noel, a name most had 23 spots down the list. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Sawyer at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
