A respectable, level-headed haul for the 49ers: B-.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the 49ers would have aced it. Josh Conerly Jr. at the Round 1 slot is 26 spots clear of where he belonged. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They banked enough surplus on Gabriel to cover a lot of smaller sins. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
