Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall C+
ValueC NeedB TradesC FutureB-
Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C+ for the Ravens.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Ravens spent No. 203 on Ahmed Hassanein, a name most had 37 spots down the list.

The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Harvey falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Wyatt Milum
In the 20th overall pick they get a cornerstone up front, though they paid up to get him. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick91 Rnd3 Jared Ivey
The board had Jared Ivey higher than Round 3, Pick 27, and the edge rusher fell to them anyway. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick129 Rnd4 Luke Kandra
This one needs a full-page explanation: Luke Kandra in pick 129, miles early. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick136 Rnd4 Jake Majors
Good price on Jake Majors in No. 136, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick183 Rnd6 RJ Harvey
RJ Harvey at pick No. 183 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick203 Rnd6 Ahmed Hassanein
They reached into another round for Ahmed Hassanein, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick212 Rnd6 Jalen McLeod
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jalen McLeod. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick226 Rnd7 Luke Elzinga
They let Luke Elzinga come to them and pounced at Round 7, Pick 10. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
