Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Nate Wiggins got past him. The Lions do not have to explain a thing at Round 3, Pick 12.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In the end it comes back to Johnny Wilson, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
