The Steelers won the night they stopped DeJean from sliding. Grade: B. Somebody in the 80th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Steelers sat still while Cooper DeJean, the No. 60 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
With running back unsolved, spending premium capital on offensive lineman is the choice that costs them. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Every board in the league had Laumea lower, and that gap is the story. The veteran additions, Dax Hill chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
