Draft Grade — Jets
Overall
B-
ValueB-

FutureB-
The Jets checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. Everything else got attention, and quarterback got none. That is a strange way for the Jets to leave a draft. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
The cost of the Knight Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Mason Graham
In the Round 1 slot they get an anchor for the defensive front at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick42
Rnd2
Demetrius Knight Jr.
They jumped the gun on Demetrius Knight Jr., taking him earlier than his grade liked. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
