The Commanders fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Commanders were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.

They will need Jackson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Bottom line, with Bralen Trice leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
