Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B+
ValueC+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
A masterclass at the trade table lands the Giants a B+.

The war room fell hard for Clay Webb, and it showed at Round 5, Pick 25: 78 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

That Gordon II pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In No. 12 they get a moveable chess piece at tight end. A real need, handled.
Pick34 Rnd2 Ashton Gillotte
Ashton Gillotte at pick No. 34 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick44 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori in the 44th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick57 Rnd2 Maxwell Hairston
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Maxwell Hairston well ahead of where he belonged. It fills a real need, too.
Pick65 Rnd3 Isaiah Bond
They read the board right and Isaiah Bond was the payoff at Round 3, Pick 1. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick74 Rnd3 Charles Grant
They talked themselves into Charles Grant at the Round 3 slot, and the board did not agree. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick110 Rnd4 Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe at the Round 4 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
Pick113 Rnd4 Logan Brown
Logan Brown in the 113th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick134 Rnd4 Hayden Conner
This one needs a full-page explanation: Hayden Conner in pick No. 134, miles early. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick155 Rnd5 Cam Skattebo
They robbed the room for Cam Skattebo here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick164 Rnd5 Clay Webb
They reached into another round for Clay Webb, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick190 Rnd6 Jack Kiser
The board had cheaper options than Jack Kiser at pick 190, and it noticed. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick221 Rnd7 Ollie Gordon II
Ollie Gordon II in slot 221 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick248 Rnd7 LaJohntay Wester
LaJohntay Wester at No. 248 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
