You could see the war room lean forward. Billy Bowman Jr. at the 193rd overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
