Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Cardinals spent the 142nd pick on Christian Jones, a name most had 66 spots down the list. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.

The Driskell pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. It is not that Jackson is a bad player; it is that the Cardinals had louder needs to answer first.
