Draft Grade — Panthers
Overall

FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Panthers. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Panthers left linebacker untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
The cost of the Grant reach is exactly the players who went right after him. On the needs board they went 3 of 9, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. The back end got a real overhaul.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Will Johnson
In the Round 1 slot they get an island corner, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick57
Rnd2
Tre Harris
They paid sticker price for Tre Harris in slot 57, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick74
Rnd3
Charles Grant
Charles Grant at pick No. 74 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
